New Brand Identity, More Awesome STEAM Kits

Educational toy company ‘Moinàrchy’ is rebranding to ‘Mochy Kid Limited’ - introducing new logo, tagline and unisex cartoon character that prioritizes gender equality.

HONG KONG – February 22, 2017 – Three years ago, Mochy Kid Limited (previously ‘Moinàrchy’) was an idea sparked over a coffee conversation in Central. Since then, 2 co-founders of Mochy Kid worked days and nights focusing on clients, STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) educational toys and expanding the business. Yet, it is time to collect the thoughts and path for the future. ‘Ultimately, Mochy Kid’s mission is to create quality play experience worth sharing, and the goal will only be achieved by refining and adapting. Today, we’re proud to move our brand identity forward’, says Senior Manager of Mochy Kid, Alex McFadyen.

Unicorn symbolizes infinite possibilities and has always been the mascot of Mochy Kid. For the new logo, the Mochy Kid team considered a range of ideas – from retaining unicorn as fundamental design, to leaving no trace of such mythical animal in the logo. What the team decided on at last was the continuation of unicorn in an abstracted form, giving the head an up-close view that is more recognizable and mighty, yet upholding the charisma of unicorn. The new Fire Coral color scheme is spirited, adventurous and energized, representing Mochy Kid’s passion to create exciting exploratory experience.

The co-founders of Mochy Kid have always been prioritizing gender equality. To move beyond the gender stereotype, Mochy Kid’s existing unicorn character has took on a unisex name – Unicorn Jaden (see image below). What’s more, Mochy Kid’s new tagline ‘Play experience worth sharing’ invites customers to explore learning experiences that open up personal growth and social opportunities, and indulge in their ‘Mochy Time’.

This rebranding process has been fabulously thrilling, the Mochy Kid team is excited about the refreshed commitment to offering incredible play experience that worth a share. This is just the start of the team’s expedition in the new look, and Mochy Kid can’t wait to see where it lead the team from here.
